THE SOCCERSMITH'S MLS POWER RANKINGS
- New York Red Bulls (2-0-2) - Rallied for an important draw against rivals, DC United. So far this season, the Red Bulls are the only team to score against Bill Hamid. Last Week: 3
- Vancouver Whitecaps (4-2-1) - It's still early, but Octavio Rivero is making quite an impression with five goals in his first seven matches. Last Week: 1
- DC United (3-1-1) - A perfect 3-0 against teams not named the New York Red Bulls. Bill Hamid and company let a 2-0 second half lead slip away in a missed opportunity. Nice to see a big game from Perry Kitchen though. Last Week: 5
- Real Salt Lake (2-0-3) - It's still a work in progress, but just think how dangerous they'll be when they get Joao Plata back. Last Week: 6
- Seattle Sounders (2-2-1) - Definitely could have used Clint Dempsey against LA, but not much you can do when an opposing keeper makes 10 saves to beat you. Last Week: 4
- FC Dallas (3-2-1) - Starting to think I might have overestimated Dallas given they've allowed seven goals in their last two matches including four to the punchless Rapids. Their saving grace is that their three game winless streak has coincided with playmaker Mauro Diaz's absence. Last Week: 2
- LA Galaxy (2-2-2) - Got three big points against Seattle, but this is no doubt a team that isn't playing at its highest level. Last Week: 7
- Columbus Crew (1-2-2) - Went on the road for two huge draws this week at Vancouver and at New England. Now they must build on this. Last Week: 11
- San Jose Earthquakes (3-3-0) - The Quakes already have wins against Vancouver and Seattle so far this season, and they haven't even scratched the surface of their potential. Last Week: 13
- Sporting Kansas City (2-1-3) - Good to see the defense lock down Real Salt Lake, but the offense still needs work. Last Week: 10
- Toronto FC (1-3-0) - Bye weeks aren't helping Toronto snap this losing streak. Last Week: 8
- New England Revolution (2-2-2) - Jermaine Jones is back and he immediately picked up his first yellow card of the season. Unfortunately, New England's scoring woes returned as well. Last Week: 12
- Portland Timbers (1-2-3) - Just wait until these guys get healthy. Right now they just need to keep treading water until the cavalry arrives. Last Week: 9
- Houston Dynamo (2-2-2) - Rookie Rob Lovejoy got a ridiculous goal and an assist off the bench in a blowout win over Montreal. Is he the solution to the Dynamo's offensive woes? Last Week: 16
- Chicago Fire (2-3-0) - Chicago got the week off, but they'll head into Week 7 riding a two game winning streak. Last Week: 15
- Orlando City SC (2-2-2) - What does Orlando City do with Bryan Róchez now that Cyle Larin has arrived? Last Week: 18
- Colorado Rapids (1-1-3) - After getting shutout in four straight, the Rapids erupted for four goals including Dillon Serna's laser from way outside the 18 against one of the league's hottest teams. Meanwhile, Clint Irwin quietly has four shutouts of his own. Last Week: 20
- New York City SC (1-2-2) - David Villa scores again, but this is a club that obviously hasn't put all the pieces together. Last Week: 14
- Philadelphia Union (1-3-2) - The Union got a last gasp strike from Vincent Nogueira to bring them their first win of 2015. Solid debut for keeper John McCarthy as well. Last Week: 19
- Montreal Impact (0-2-2) - The only team in MLS without a win is playing for the CONCACAF Champions League title. Yeah, that makes sense. But hey, Kenny Cooper is on the way. Last Week: 17
