This Week's CONCACAF Champion's League Schedule

The third round of Champions League matches kicks off on Tuesday with eight more matches on the calendar. Just one MLS team in play this week as the Red Bulls take the field for the first time in this year's tournament on Tuesday. They face an early 6 point hole after the Montreal Impact twice defeated CD FAS in the first two rounds. Here's a rundown of all of the week's matches:

AUG 26

Saprissa (Costa Rica) vs Real Estelí (Nicaragua) - The first time these two teams met, Saprissa needed a second half equalizer to salvage a draw. Real Estelí now takes to the road after taking a point from each of their first two home matches giving them an early lead in Group 2.

New York Red Bulls vs CD FAS (El Salvador) - The Impact dealt CD FAS a pair of one goal losses to start the tournament making this essentially a make-or-break game for both clubs. New York is the last of the 24 teams to take the field, and they'll do so with home field advantage.

Comunicaciones (Guatemala) vs América (Mexico) - The tournament's two top scoring teams will do battle in Guatemala City in a match that will go a long way in determining the outcome of Group 8. With Bayamón (Puerto Rico) clearly out of their league getting outscored 11-1 through two matches, it's no doubt that one of these two teams will advance. Comunicaciones' striker Rolando Blackburn is tied with Montreal's Marco Di Vaio with a tournament-best 3 goals.

AUG 27

Municipal (Guatemala) vs Pachuca (Mexico) - Pachuca currently sits atop the group after a 4-1 win over Real España (Honduras). Municipal is currently in second place in Group 1 after Carlos Ruiz's PK salvaged a draw on the road for them against the same.

León (Mexico) vs Herediano (Costa Rica) - Herediano, the last team to qualify for the tournament after the disqualificaiton of the Belmopan Bandits, showed no signs of rust in a 4-0 win over Isidro Metapán (El Salvador) last week. They'll get a tougher challenge from León who also scored 4 times in their opening win.

AUG 28

Waterhouse (Jamaica) vs Tauro (Panama) - Waterhouse got a pair of early goals to defeat Tauro in Panama 3 weeks ago. Now they'll face them them in Jamaica as Waterhouse looks to bounce back from a 1-0 loss against D.C. United.

Olimpia (Honduras) vs Alpha United (Guyana) - Alpha United is still looking for their first point dropping matches 1-0 to Olimpia and 4-1 to the Portland Timbers while at home. Now they're faced with a rematch with Olimpia as they take to the road for the first time in the tourament.

Alajuelense (Costa Rica) vs Chorrillo (Panama) - In a match to decide first place in Group 6, Alajuelense and Chorrillo look to do battle in Costa Rica. With both teams having taken points from reigning champion Cruz Azul, this match has significant implications early on.
