U-17s Miss Golden Chance to Clinch World Cup Berth
Needing just a draw against Jamaica, the U.S. U-17s dropped a stunner 1-0 and now must win an elimination game against an as-of-yet undetermined opponent or miss the World Cup entirely. A Nicholas Nelson penalty was the difference in the match tonight as the U.S. couldn't solve Jamaican keeper Jahmali Waite despite outshooting Jamaica 15-10 and owning an 8-3 edge on corner kicks. After opening the tourney with 3 straight wins, the U.S. has now taken just one point from its last two matches.
