Weekly Top Tens and Power Rankings - 6/2/15

THE SOCCERSMITH'S MLS POWER RANKINGS

- Seattle Sounders (8-3-2) - With a pair of wins this week, the Sounders easily hung on to the top spot in our rankings. With Dempsey and Martins playing well, the fact that Marco Pappa is now stepping up his play makes them all the more dangerous. Last Week: 1
- Sporting Kansas City (5-2-6) - Sporting erupted for four goals with Dom Dwyer on the bench thanks to the return of Graham Zusi. With Tim Melia locking down the starting keeper spot, the defense has picked up as well. Last Week: 2
- New England Revolution (5-3-5) - Lee Nguyen is making last season's breakout performance seem kind of fluky, but Charlie Davies, Teal Bunbury and Juan Agudelo have been picking put the slack. Last Week: 4
- Columbus Crew (4-4-4) - Kei Kamara already has 10 goals. His career high is 11.  Last Week: 6
- DC United (7-3-4) - Rallied for a win against Philadelphia after coming up empty against Portland. Offensive struggles have really been the story, but the defense hasn't posted a shutout since May 2nd. Last Week: 5
- Toronto FC (5-5-1) - No Jozy Altidore? No problem. Luke Moore has a goal and two assists since Jozy got hurt. Last Week: 11
- Vancouver Whitecaps (7-5-2) - Got a much needed win against RSL, but Octavio Rivero has just one goal in his last eight starts. Last Week: 9
- New York Red Bulls (4-3-5) - Seattle's late game magic stole a point from them. On the bright side, New York's core won't be impacted by National Team Duty. Last Week: 7
- FC Dallas (6-4-3) - Dallas has lost 4-0 twice this season. Their three game winning streak to start the season seems a long way away. Last Week: 3
- LA Galaxy (5-4-6) - Ignacio Maganto is turning into a nice find as the Galaxy continue to stay afloat while they wait for Steven Gerrard. Last Week: 13
- San Jose Earthquakes (5-5-3) - San Jose didn't have an answer for Sebastian Giovinco and Toronto FC. No Quakes player other than Wondo has more than one goal. Last Week: 8
- Portland Timbers (5-5-4) -  Will Johnson's back and the Timbers won both of their matches this week to move right back into contention is the wild, wild west. Last Week: 19
- Chicago Fire (4-5-2) - Kennedy Igboananike had a goal and an assist in the Fire's rout of Montreal. Is he the solution to Chicago's offensive woes? Last Week: 16
- Orlando City SC (3-5-5) - Had a man advantage against Columbus and couldn't capitalize. Last Week: 14
- Houston Dynamo (4-5-5) - Will Bruin is playing great, but the midfield needs to contribute more to the offense. Last Week: 15
- Real Salt Lake (4-5-5) - Is Real Salt Lake in trouble? They've lost three of four and now Nick Rimando and Kyle Beckerman are leaving for National Team duty. Last Week: 12
- Montreal Impact (2-4-2) - After picking up a pair of big wins, the Impact fell on their faces against the Fire after Marco Donadel's ejection. Last Week: 10
- Philadelphia Union (3-8-3) - The Union took an early lead, but their magic against top teams in the East finally ran out as they came up short against DC United. Last Week: 18
- Colorado Rapids (2-4-7) - Just as you thought the Rapids were turning things around, they dropped a pair this week to fall right back down. Last Week: 17
- New York City SC (1-7-5) - With just one win in 13, City is struggling far more than most would have expected. Frank Lampard can't arrive soon enough. Last Week: 20
