Gold Cup Day 8

Gareth McCleary's (Reading) second goal of the tournament clinched first place in Group B for Jamaica as they defeated El Salvador 1-0. Jamaica caps off group play with a record of 2-0-1. In the nightcap, Costa Rica ended Canada's hopes of advancing with a 0-0 draw. Canada finishes the tournament without a goal in three matches. With one day of matches remaining, seven of the eight quarterfinal spots have been filled. Guatemala can claim the final spot with a win over Cuba, otherwise the last spot goes to El Salvador. Trinidad and Tobago takes on Mexico in the other match tomorrow.
