U.S. Women Draw with Iceland 0-0, Head to Algarve Cup Finals

Hope Solo posted her second consecutive shutout, but the U.S. offense couldn't solve Iceland, settling instead for a 0-0 draw. Still, that was good enough to clinch Group B at the Algarve Cup and earn a place in the Championship Match against France on Wednesday. France won all three of their matches defeating Denmark, Japan and Portugal by a combined score of 8-2. They're led by midfielder EugĂ©nie Le Sommer who is currently tied for the tournament lead with three goals. Germany and Sweden will face off for third place in a rematch of their opening match which Sweden won 4-2.

The U.S. has won the Algarve Cup 9 times since 2000 with their most recent tournament win coming in 2013 over Germany. France has never won the tournament finishing third back in 2004 and 2005.
